Define your spaces, should feel a bit crowded to fell successful, set up areas for congregation.

Silent auction tables should be set up in sections around the room, so would be bidders can check out the active bidding on items they are interested in.

Only place a few items on each table, so bidders are not crowded and have room to bid, leave room in alias so bidders  can walk through easily to check out items and current bids.  Check flow of items and spread out like items. If you can’t  place the bid sheet directly in front of the item, as in a tractor on the floor, run a ribbon from the bid sheet to the item.

List item value, and “buy it now” price so that person who wants it can get it now and not have to wait till the end of the event, some people just have to come and go.

People come to events to eat, socialize and to spend money. Walk through the flow of the events and make note of items that might distract you from making money.

Watch for bottlenecks at registration table if registration is required, you can’t have enough volunteers here. Be sure to collect as much information, such as email and address so you can thank them and invite them back.

Keep center decorations height to minimum, so not distract views.  If you intend to auction off center pieces, be sure to put a bidders tag raffle indication on the item to let people know they are on the block.

Consider lighting options for display items for silent and live auction. Use lighting to focus from one function of the event to the next.

Use of projection screen or monitors should limit individuals from having to turn in there seats.
